During the meeting, the team showed several video clips from their previous A1 Grand Prix Rounds in Pakistan and Australia. A statement from Ananda Mikola, an Indonesian A1 racer, fluttered up in the presentation. Ananda Mikola, in marketing perspective, has towering value that is too big to miss. The team sought support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to sponsor the round by pitching several ads on available advertising spots, on the racing car, or on the teams suits. Considering the A1 Grand Prix Round as an international event with extremely high promotional value, Minister Wacik said that he was going to take into account and put it in a top marketing priority. According to Donny, Malaysia and Australia are among the many countries that have taken the opportunity to put their promotional signs in the event.
In accordance with recovery programs for Bali, Minister Wacik said that this extraordinary event must be seen as a golden opportunity to promote Indonesian tourism destinations. It would show the world that Indonesia is enchanting and safe for tourists. With this event staged in Indonesia, many hotel rooms would be booked, and other tourism activities would emerge accordingly. Therefore, the Minister has assigned Mr. Thamrin B. Bachri as the Director General for Marketing to see the type of support that the Ministry can provide in further detail. Minister Wacik was pleased with what the team was offering and he planned to see the round. He also thanked the team for staging a pre-tour participated by several world-class racers to Jakarta and Bali on December 16, 2005.
